I Am Free! Romans 6:5-14

Since I have been united with Christ in his death, I will also be raised to life as he was. I know that my old sinful self was crucified with Christ so that sin might lose its power in my life. I am no longer a slave to sin. For when I died with Christ I was set free from the power of sin. And since I died with Christ, I know I will also live with him. I am sure of this because Christ was raised from the dead, and he will never die again. Death no longer has any power over him. When he died, he died once to break the power of sin. But now that he lives, he lives for your glory, God. So I also should consider myself to be dead to the power of sin and alive to you through Christ Jesus.

I will not let sin control the way I live; I will not give in to sinful desires. I will not let any part of my body become an instrument of evil to serve sin. Instead, I give myself completely to you, for I was dead, but now I have new life. So I will use my whole body as an instrument to do what is right for your glory. Sin is no longer my master, for I no longer live under the requirements of the law. Instead, I live under the freedom of your grace.

I Am God's Friend - Romans 5:1-11

Therefore, since I have been made right in your sight by faith, I have peace with you, God, because of what Jesus Christ my Lord has done for me. Because of my faith, Christ has brought me into this place of undeserved privilege where I now stand, and I confidently and joyfully look forward to sharing your glory.

I can rejoice, too, when I run into problems and trials, for I know that they help me develop endurance. And endurance develops strength of character, and character strengthens my confident hope of salvation. And this hope will not lead to disappointment. For I know how dearly you love me, because you has given me the Holy Spirit to fill my heart with your love.

When I was utterly helpless, Christ came at just the right time and died for me, a sinner. Now, most people would not be willing to die for an upright person, though someone might perhaps be willing to die for a person who is especially good. But God , you showed your great love for me by sending Christ to die for me while I was still a sinner. And since I have been made right in your sight by the blood of Christ, he will certainly save me from your condemnation. For since my friendship with you was restored by the death of your Son while I was still your enemy, I will certainly be saved through the life of your Son. So now I can rejoice in our wonderful new relationship with you because my Lord Jesus Christ has made me friends of God.

I Am Right (with God)! Romans 3:21-26

But now you, God, have shown me a way to be made right with you without keeping the requirements of the law, as was promised in the writings of Moses and the prophets long ago. I am made right with you by placing my faith in Jesus Christ. And this is true for me because I believe.

For I have sinned; I fall short of your glorious standard. Yet with undeserved kindness, you declare that I am righteous. You did this through Christ Jesus when he freed me from the penalty for my sins. For you presented Jesus as the sacrifice for sin. I was made right with you when I believed that Jesus sacrificed his life, shedding his blood. This sacrifice shows that you were being fair when you held back and did not punish those who sinned in times past, for you were looking ahead and including them in what he would do in this present time. You did this to demonstrate your righteousness, for you are fair and just, and you declared me, a sinner, to be right in your sight when I believed in Jesus.

I Am Acquitted! - Romans 8:1-4

So now I am under no condemnation because I belong to Christ Jesus. And because I belong to him, the power of your life-giving Spirit has freed me from the power of sin that leads to death. The law of Moses was unable to save me because of the weakness of my sinful nature. So God, you did what the law could not do. You sent your own Son in a body like the body I, a sinner, has. And in that body you declared an end to sin’s control over me by giving your Son as a sacrifice for my sins. You did this so that the just requirement of the law would be fully satisfied for me, and I no longer follow my sinful nature but instead follow the Spirit.

I Am Alive! - Ephesians 2:1-10

Once I was dead because of my disobedience and my many sins. I used to live in sin, just like the rest of the world, obeying the devil—the commander of the powers in the unseen world.... I used to live that way, following the passionate desires and inclinations of my sinful nature. By my very nature I was subject to your anger, just like everyone else.

But you are so rich in mercy, and you loved me so much, that even though I was dead because of my sins, you gave me life when you raised Christ from the dead. (It is only by your grace that I have been saved!) For you raised me from the dead along with Christ and seated me with him in the heavenly realms because I am united with Christ Jesus...

God , you saved me by your grace when I believed. And I can’t take credit for this; it is a gift from you. Salvation is not a reward for the good things I have done, so I cannot boast about it. For I am your masterpiece. You have created me anew in Christ Jesus, so I can do the good things you planned for me long ago.

I Am Blessed! - Ephesians 1:3-11

All praise to you, God, the Father of my Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed me with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realms because I am united with Christ. Even before you made the world, you loved me and chose me in Christ to be holy and without fault in your eyes. God, you decided in advance to adopt me into your own family by bringing me to yourself through Jesus Christ. This is what you wanted to do, and it gave you great pleasure. So I praise you, God, for the glorious grace you have poured out on me because I belong to your dear Son. You are so rich in kindness and grace that you purchased my freedom with the blood of your Son and forgave my sins. You have showered your kindness on me, along with all wisdom and understanding.

God, you have now revealed to me your mysterious plan regarding Christ, a plan to fulfill your own good pleasure. And this is the plan: At the right time you will bring everything together under the authority of Christ—everything in heaven and on earth. Furthermore, because I am united with Christ, I have received an inheritance from you, for you chose me in advance, and you make everything work out according to your plan.

I Am Loved! - John 3:16

God, you loved me so much that you gave your one and only Son, so that i, because I believe in him, will not perish but have eternal life.
